SCHOOL HISTORY
School Sport and Houses since 1935
School Houses were introduced in 1971 and were called Bellbirds and Currawongs. After the population growth in the late 1970's, three houses were needed so they were changed to Jackson (Green), Bradman (Yellow) and Newcombe (Blue). The fourth house was named Freeman (Red) in 1997 after another large growth in the school population. In 2000, Year 6 donated signed action photographs of each of the sports stars who had houses named after them. The photos of Marjorie Jackson, Sir Donald Bradman, John Newcombe and Cathy Freeman now hang proudly on the wall of the FSU.
