From the Principal

Avoca Beach Public School community provides a caring and stimulating environment where everyone is learning, and where people support and encourage each other. We seek to foster the development of the whole child – the intellect, the body, the emotions, the character and the spirit. This is done not only through its programs of learning but also through the quality of relationships that exist within the school.

We endeavour to provide abundant opportunities for children to experience success and grow in self confidence by accepting challenges and extending themselves. We seek to develop knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that will enable children to become active citizens with an understanding of civic life and a willingness to participate fully in Australian society.

We strive to respond to the needs of all children through inclusive programs. We hope that when children and adults enter our school they feel welcome, safe, challenged and respected. We work hard to create a school climate where expectations are high, learning is valued and there is a strong sense of hope and purpose.

After visiting our website you will sense that Avoca Beach Public School is a place where things are happening. I feel very excited about the direction the school is heading and I’m confident in our ability as a school community to successfully manage the educational challenges as they present.
