Enrolment

Enrolment Guidelines

Kindergarten

Children who turn 5 before 1 August are eligible to enrol at school.  To assist in school planning and staffing, names of pupils eligible to attend school in Kindergarten the following year are taken from June onwards.

During Term 4, children who have been enrolled and have produced evidence of "date of birth” and "address", will be invited to attend our headstart program. This involves the child attending each week for 2 hours to take part in an orientation program.

A School Entry Immunisation Certificate is also required for each child enrolling in Kindergarten. Children who are not immunised will have to stay home during an outbreak of an infectious disease for which there is immunisation available.  This is for the child’s own protection and protection of family and friends.

If the child is enrolling in a NSW Government school for the first time, you will need to fill in an enrolment form, which can be collected from the front office, or you can print the following Application to enrol in a NSW Government school (PDF 1185Kb) issued by the Department of Education and Training.

Other Grades

Children may be enrolled at any time, providing they reside within the school boundaries. Parents are requested to accompany children to school on the day of enrolment and complete the necessary enrolment forms at the office.

Children will be placed in classes and parents may wish to take the opportunity to meet their child’s class and class teacher.

"Out of Zone" Enrolments

Sometimes "Out of Zone" enrolments will be accepted under set criteria, however, enrolments will NOT be accepted if additional accommodation or staff is required to cater for them. See Enrolment Policy for a list of the criteria and to find out how the number of "Out of Zone" places are calculated.
