Privacy Statement

Avoca Beach Public School is subject to the NSW Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (the Act). The School's Privacy Management Plan, produced in accordance with section 33 of the Act, contains the School's Privacy Policy and how it will be translated into the School's business practices.

Collection of Information

The DET may make a record of your visit and logs any of the following information for statistical and business purposes:

  • the user's server address
  • the user's domain name
  • IP address
  • the date and time of the visit
  • the pages accessed and documents downloaded
  • the previous site visited
  • and the type of browser used.

If you send us an email, the School may record your e-mail address.

Student Protection and Privacy

The following guidelines are in place to protect the privacy of students:

  • Full names of students are not published, unless express permission has been granted
  • Student's personal information is not published
  • Parental permission has been obtained for any student's work which has been published on this website
  • Parental permission has been obtained for any student's photograph which has been published on this website
  • Full names will not accompany photographs of children

Permission to Publish Material

Each child enrolled at Avoca Beach Public School has been given a permission form to allow their photo or work to be published on this school website. These forms are held by the school and they cover the child for the duration of their time at this school. If the school has not received a permission form for a child then their photo/work will not be published.

If you would like to change the status of your permission, or have not yet sent in a form, simply fill in a Website Publishing Permission Form (PDF 27Kb) and send it to school with your child.
